To get the best from your Sequence External Filter Pumps, these optional extras can make great additions
	Sequence Strainer Basket The strainer basket prevent waste from entering the impellor housing which may jam or damaged the pump. Whilst it is not entirely necessary to have the basket fitted if you are sucking water out of your filter, it is entirely possible that stray media could find its way it to the pump. If the strainer is not fitted, any damage would not be covered by warranty and as such a repair would be chargeable. If sucking from the pond and pushing water in to the Ultra Violet and filter it is highly recommended to fit a strainer basket.

	Sequence Strainer Basket Quick Inlet Coupling This connector is suitable for the inlet to the Sequence Strainer Pot. The 2" male screw thread screws directly into the strainer pot inlet. This provides a 2" female solvent weld connection, which can accept your filter system pipework. Unlike other connectors, the Sequence Strainer Basket Quick Inlet Coupling connector has a screw thread connection in the middle. So once connected, the strainer can be disconnected from the pipework, without having to saw through your pipework.

What is Effective Volume ?
The effective volume is the quantity of water in your pond, plus an allowance for shallow and or ponds exposed to high levels of sunlight. Both of these situations will result in a higher than normal algae growth, and fish pollution. We advise that to ensure your that your equipment is correctly sized, the effective volume be considered the minimum size for the equipment you select. However do remember to check the details of the product you are interested in, to ensure that there are no other allowances or consideration specific to that product are required.
