Connecting Electricity to Pond Equipment
Electricity can be dangerous and in the presence of water is potentially even more dangerous. Recognising this, new legislation was introduced at the beginning of 2005 which restricts the amount of fixed electrical installation work that can be carried out by other than qualified electricians. Our Powersafe, Armadillo and PowerBreaker products offer ways that you can safely connect power to your pond equipment within the new regulations. One requirement is that all outdoor supplies must be protected by a Residual Current Device. RCD's reduce the risk of electrocution from a damaged or broken mains cable. |

| Armoured Cable Extension Kits - Special Offer(JLEO12) If you do not need to have a socket at the house end, maybe because you are buying a Pond connection Unit or are extending from an existing junction box, then the Extension Kits are ideal. They are supplied without the box and fly lead cable, but with an armoured cable gland. This allows us to offer them at a slightly reduced price. NOTE: The Armoured Cable Gland will only connect to suitable boxes, (ie the Pond Connector above) but do not include the Powersafe Switches.
NOTE: Do not exceed 50m or a voltage drop will be experienced. |
