The Nexus Eazy is Evolution Aqua's exciting new filter system. It incorporates the industry proven Kaldnes Moving Bed coupled with the innovative Eazy mechanical filter. Combined, they provide outstanding water clarity and quality, pump or gravity fed. They are extremely eazy. and pleasurable to clean and maintain, with minimal running costs. They are designed and built to last for life. The Nexus Eazy is a cleverly combined mechanical and biological filter creating an effective, high performance filtration system for all sizes of ponds. It revolutionises the way ponds are filtered. Nexus combined with the Eazy, means there really is no competition regarding price and what it will achieve! | How they work The Eazy is a stainless steel vessel containing a volume of static K1 media which is located within the centre chamber of the Nexus. Water enters the centre chamber and then enters the Eazy via slots in the lotheyr half of the unit. This results in a downward flow causing many of the larger solids to settle out prior to entering the Eazy. The size of the slots will not allow large mechanical waste to enter the cylinder thus acting as a first stage mechanical filtration. The water then passes through the static K1 media utilising up and side flow and this process causes the fine solids to become entrapped. After the water has been cleaned in the central stage, it enters the biological stage, which consists of the Kaldnes Moving BedTM Process. Kaldnes has been proven to be many times more efficient than static media. Incorporating the K1 media and the Kaldnes moving bed process into the product range was a major breakthrough in the industry due to its massive performance in such a small volume. It is by using this process that they have been able to achieve a smaller footprint. An air ring at the base of the outer bio chamber releases air, constantly agitating the media which provides the best possible environment for the bacteria to colonise, this in turn will create the optimum healthy environment for your fish. Kaldnes bio-media is maintenance free allowing the biomass to fully mature, which maximises its effectiveness and creates constant parameters. | | Specification | Eazy 200 | Eazy 300 | | Max Flow Rate | 10,000 litres/hr 2,200 Gallons/hr | 13,000 litres/hr 2,859 Gallons/hr | | Kaldness Media | 50 ltrs bio / 30 ltrs Eazy | 100 ltrs bio / 45 ltrs Eazy | | Max Capacity | 150 ltrs bio / 30 ltrs Eazy | 200 ltrs bio / 45 ltrs Eazy | | Max Pondsize | 18,000 litres 4,000 Gallons | 34,000 litres 7,500 Gallons |

| Kaldness K1 Media - 50 Ltr Bag(EAA0O1) Kaldnes Moving BedTM process, which has been scientifically tried and tested in fish farming and waste water treatment for over 10 years, is now available for fish keepers and is exclusively distributed worldwide by Evolution Aqua. The media is engineered in a wheel shape and has a slight positive buoyance. This allows a small amount of water flow to circulate the media throughout the vessel. This flow is created with your air pump and air stones or diffuser etc. How it works Maturing the Kaldnes bio-media is important because a delicate eco-system is naturally developing for the bacteria involved in the nitrification process. Kaldnes media provides the maximum active surface area for the bacteria to colonise, more than other types of static media. It is this process which removes harmful ammonia and nitrite from the water. How it is different to other media As the Kaldnes media moves within the filter, it causes the old dead bacteria on the outside to be displaced. This makes space for new younger heavier feeding bacteria to rapidly colonise. Within the wheel is a protected surface which enables colonies of bacteria to naturally follow their life cycle, of maturing, dying and then fuelling the latter stages of the nitrification cycle. Kaldnes has been designed to provide the best possible habitat for both young and mature beneficial bacterial colonies. What is meant by .self cleaning Unlike foam, matting, or other forms of static filtration media, the Kaldnes K1 media is designed to move freely within your filter. The constant chaotic movement of the air from your pump, causes the media to self clean and thus requires no maintenance. This allows the filter to reach optimum effectiveness without the disturbance of periodic cleaning, avoiding unnecessary loss of bacteria within the filter. 50 Litres of K1 media will handle up to 250 grammes of food per day. | Price: £54.99 Inc Vat

| A.B.S. should be used to mature all new pond filters. Its unique action ensures rapid growth of Nitrifying bacteria but also discourages the formation of Heterotrophic bacteria.
