The Bioforce range comprises four compact Bioforce UVC filters for 5500, 8000 and 12000 litre ponds. The well-established strengths of Bioforce are still prominent in the latest version and mean that, as a pressurised filter, the product is ideal for pond keepers who want ease of use, clear water and a filter system hidden from view. Bioforce is a pressurised system that means a smaller, less obtrusive container size is needed and it can be buried next to the pond out of sight. Pressure also means that filtered water can travel up to the top of a waterfall without the need to be placed at the same high level. Standard equipment in Bioforce includes both a UVC and biological filtration capability; clearwater is therefore guaranteed when the correct size product for the pond is used.All Bioforce sizes have the following features for high performance and ease of use.

Biological Filtration
The Bioforce pond filters have excellent biological filtration with Kaldnes K3™ bio media exclusive to Hozelock Cyprio filter systems. Kaldnes™ is scientifically proven and in widespread use in industrial water purification processes. As a result, it has vastly superior biological capacity compared to other biomedia used in pond filtration.
Improved Biological Activity
When using the “backflush” facility, water flow through the Kaldnes™ biomedia removes loose debris and old less active bacteria, stimulating bacterial activity as a result.
UVC (Ultra Violet Clarifier)
The Bioforce pond filters only use maximum efficiency quartz sleeves in thier UVC system, which allow 87% UV efficiency for treating algae, compared to 30% and 50% for glass and plastic respectively. High-efficiency single-ended UV lamps and an in-built water “turbulator” ensure maximum water treatment and the elimination of green water. Bayonet fitting of the UVC lamp allows quick cleaning and lamp change as required.
UV viewing point. The Bioforce is now equipped with a specially designed indicator so that the user can safely see if the UV lamp is switched on and functioning.
Easy Cleaning
The range has an Easy Clean “backflush” facility for flushing debris out of the filter, thereby extending the time between thorough foam cleaning. This is also aided by the use of “flow through” coarse foams, which efficiently remove waste particles whilst also reducing cleaning frequency. |
