Prima XL pumps are high pressure, solids handling pumps, designed specifically to pass large solids, up to 8mm, from the pond to a biological filter.
Due to the design of these pumps they have the power to pump high volumes of contaminated water through the restrictions encountered in most filter systems.
The Prima XL pumps, introduced in 1999 and still very popular, have a ceramic sleeved shaft combined with three sprung seals for class leading reliability and performance. To aid installation they can either be placed flat on the bottom of the pond or in an upright position. All Prima XL pumps are backed by Hozelock Cyprio comprehensive two year guarantee and 10m of cable. To make pump selection easier Prima XL pumps are all rated at 1.2m (4ft) to allow for flow losses due to a UVC, a spray bar, and a typical 600mm (2ft) lift up to a filter.

We offer 6 different sizes of hose to suit all the products we sell. The corrugation of the hose contains a strengthener, which enables the hose to be flexible and strong but will not kink in most pond installations. The hose is black for easy concealment and to discourage growth of algae on the inside, which can, long term, lead to a reduction in the hose diameter and thus affect the pumps performance.

The Zinc plated hose clips come with a foam strip to ensure maximum grip to the exterior of the corrugated hose, thus avoiding annoying drips. They have wing tighteners for easy tool free adjustment. Five sizes to suit the hose.
