The Oase FiltoClear pressurised pond filters, are a highly developed range of pressurised filters, which have outstanding filtration properties and are easy to maintain. The Filtoclear has a unique built-in cleaning system,
which is easy to operate. Simply remove the discharge cap, connect your waste hose (not supplied), turn the valve to discharge and pump the cleaning handle up and down removing all the waste, making this the easiest filter to clean in the Oase range. The benefit of a pressurised filter is the ability for it to be lower than the discharge point, which in many cases means it easier to conceal. The Filtoclear includes an integral Ultra Violet light and is supplied with 5m of mains cable and a 2 year guarantee. The 15000, 20000 and 30000 come with a polished stainless steel reflector to optimise the UV light. Also included are 4 hosetails, one each for the in, out and discharge hoses and one for the other end of the discharge hose.

Oase Aqua Active Biokick Freshis the newly-developed filter bacteria with freshness guarantee, which are ideal for use in spring, with new filter systems, if there are acute water problems, or after the use of medication.

1. For activation add the preserved dry cultures to the nutrient solution.
2. The activated solution will first turn red.
3. As soon as the microorganisms are highly active, the colour will change to yellow. The generated concentrate now contains millions of highly-active microorganisms. The change will take 1-4 hours depending on the temperature. The cultures are now ready to use!

Test 6 parameters quickly. Dip one stick in to the pond for 1 second, shake off wait 1 minute and the results of pH, Nitrite, Nitrate, Carbonic Hardness, Chlorine and Total Hardness, will be shown on the one stick. Suitable for test approximately 50 water samples.

What is Effective Volume ?
The effective volume is the quantity of water in your pond, plus an allowance for shallow and or ponds exposed to high levels of sunlight. Both of these situations will result in a higher than normal algae growth, and fish pollution. We advise that to ensure your that your equipment is correctly sized, the effective volume be considered the minimum size for the equipment you select. However do remember to check the details of the product you are interested in, to ensure that there are no other allowances or consideration specific to that product are required.
