Pond Filtration Equipment Clearance

A new and interesting design from HozelockCyprio offering a moving bed technology at a reasonable price. Three stages of filtration.
Stage 1 -The water enters the filter at high velocity via an oxygenating venturi and spins unique Kaldnes K3 biomedia chaotically around the bio-module. The beneficial friendly bacteria growing on the inside and outside of the K3 Biomedia thrive in an oxygen-rich environment and breakdown harmful soluble pollutants at a very efficient rate. The dynamic nature of the moving bed ensures that the ammonia and oxygen in the water is evenly distributed among the biomedia so all bacteria can thrive and that it is self-cleaning - pond debris passes through to the foam module. Should sludge collect in the K3 bio-module it can be easily flushed to waste via the sludge drain. Finally the K3 moving - bed allows for very efficient break down of harmful pollutants within a small area. For this reason, the Trinamic filters can support the same amount of fish as much larger filters but are much easier to hide near the pond.
Stage 2 - The water passes evenly through a perforated plate and into a series of fine foams, which remove solid matter. An indicator alerts you when the foams need to be cleaned, which can be done without removing them from the filter, using the plunging tool provided. Once plunged, sludge from the foams can be flushed away via a sludge drain at the end of the filter.
Stage 3 -Below the foam water passes through denitrifying bacteria, which grow on Cypripak biomedia. Cleaner healthy water is then returned to the pond.

The Vorton UVC combines the efficiency of the previous design with several key features. The in built “Turbulator” increases the unit’s efficiency by even exposure of the water to the UV light. The multi- directional inlet/outlet enables the rotation of the hose connections through 360deg, making it much easier to route the hose to and from the unit. The electrical housing has a bayonet fitting and the domed quartz sleeve makes cleaning the quartz simple and easy. The main body is detachable from the mounting bracket without the need to undo screws, making the unit easy to work with. The unit is IP65 rated making it weather proof. The units are supplied with a 2 year guarantee. Supplied with 5 m of cable.

The Titan range has been specifically designed for continuous running with minimum cleaning. Titans have the ability to pump solid particles up to 8mm without blocking (4mm with Titan 2000, 3000). They are suitable for filtration, waterfalls and watercourses. The large intake slots at the base of the pump minimise obstruction to solid particle migration and are specifically placed at the base of the pump in order to collect solids from the floor of the pond. This design maximises the effectiveness of the pump for filtration. All Titans have unidirectional rotation to maximise pumping efficiency, with open impellers to provide the solids handling capability. Supplied with three year warranty and 10m of cable. All Titans have been enhanced with easy to use and extra secure cage locking latches. A ball joint on the outlet is also added, making routing of the hose from the outlet even easier.
