Non-thermostatic heaters are much cheaper but you need to be at home to switch them on when frost is forecast and ideally use a timer matched to off peak electricity times.

This thernostatic heater is very expensive for what it is, but you can leave it on all the time and so it is the safest option, and it should save on electricity too compared to a non-thermostatic one on a timer left on all the time.
