 | Oase Swimskim Floating Skimmers(OAPI30)
The SwimSkim.s enable the quick and easy removal of floating debris from the pond surface. The three float chambers suspend the pump at water surface level and because it floats, it automatically adjusts to changes in water level. The water is sucked down through the strainer by the 2500 litre per hour pump (550 gph) in the Swimskim 25 and a 3500 litre per hour aquamax pump motor (770 gph) on the 50 CWS and pushes water out through the built-in oxygenator, aerating the water as it works. The strainer will collect large debris such as leaves, but also includes a fine sponge filter to catch finer waste. The SwimSkim 25 is designed for ponds up to 25m2 (e.g. a pond 5m x 5m), whilst the large version is designed for ponds 50m2 (e.g. a pond 6.5m x 7.5m). The 40w & 45w motors are supplied with 10m of cable and have a 2 year guarantee, in the case of the 50 CWS this can be extended by a further year by sending off the guarantee card to Oase.

THE TRICK: THE TWO-CHAMBER SYSTEM The Oase Pondovac 3 pond vacuum has two identically sized cylinders which are filled and emptied in alternating cycles. If one container is full then a valve is mechanically activated by a float. This triggers emptying of one and at the same time allows the other cylinder to be filled.
