The Blagdon Liberty 500 Solar Pump and Light Kit is a very versatile new solar fountain pump kit from Blagdon which can be used as a convemtional or floating fountain pump in a pond or in a water feature. This Solar Fountain kit includes a float which the pump suspends underneath ensuring it is away from any waste or wildlife at the bottom of the pond and is also supplied with 2 different fountain heads and the LED light ring for different display options in your pond. To save battery power the LED light has a sensor to ensure it will only come on in the dark. The solar pump can be used to run a feature instead of a fountain and can be connected using a 12mm hose (via included contol valve) to then pump the water up to a feature 1.5m above water surface, although the flow will be greatly reduced at 1.5m (see table below).

The solar panel in this set has 3 settings -

Continuous On - Automatically starts each day when the sun is strong enough, the panel charges the battery which powers the pump. If the sunlight is strong enough, the battery will receive more power than it takes to run the pump and so will start to charge up. If there is sufficient charge in the battery when a cloud moves in front of the sun or as dusk comes the pump will continue to run until all the charge is depleted.

Repeat Daily Timer - Runs for 4 hours every day from the time you choose. Can be set to automatically turn on during the evening so if you are at work all day you can enjoy your feature when you get home.

On Demand - Instantly runs for 4 hours. Great for impromptu BBQ’s and parties.
