The Oase Skimmer 250 Eco - Surface Skimmer, which is part of the Lake Management range, is a high performance floating skimmer with an integrated pump, which will clean pond and lake surfaces of up to 250 square metres.
Oase has redesigned the motor for the Skimmer 250 Eco, resulting in quieter, more energy efficient pumps, saving 40% of the running costs, which should also help them last longer than their older models. The new motors have what Oase calls "Core 6 Technology", which means they have six windings instead of the traditional 4. These windings have also been curved, which produces smoother running, adding to their efficiency and also making them quieter.
As a highly effective way of removing surface debris, the Skimmer 250 Eco will not only keep the surface clear but will also reduce the amount of debris which would otherwise sink to the bottom of a pond, causing water pollution and feeding algae growth.
Unlike fixed skimmers, the Oase Skimmer 250 Eco is free floating, allowing it to constantly sit at the correct height to ensure maximum debris collection through its 520mm wide skimmer opening. The integrated pump (AquaMax) creates a flowrate of up to 17000 litres per hour, drawing water and debris into the 27 Litre capacity, high quality stainless steel collection basket with a 9mm square mesh.
