The Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact L Gravity Fed Pond Filter is a high-capacity automatic drum and moving bed filtration system designed for large koi ponds, swim ponds and heavily stocked garden ponds. This advanced filter combines automatic mechanical drum filtration with high-efficiency biological moving bed filtration to deliver consistent water clarity and stable pond conditions with reduced maintenance.

Pond water enters the centre-mounted drum and passes through fine 60 micron sieve screens which remove suspended solids before water moves into the biological stage. When debris begins to block the screens, an integrated water sensor automatically activates the cleaning cycle. The drum rotates and high-pressure spray jets clean the mesh, flushing waste to drain while maintaining continuous filtration performance.

The gravity-fed configuration allows the filter body to be installed below pond water level, making it suitable for bottom drain installations and larger gravity-fed pond systems. The top of the filter must remain approximately 125mm above pond water level for correct operation.

The biological stage uses a moving bed chamber containing 60 litres of Hel-X 13 media. Water is released into this chamber through perforated retransfer tubes, while air from the integrated aeration connection keeps the media in constant motion. This oxygen-rich environment supports beneficial bacteria and promotes efficient breakdown of harmful toxins.

This model is designed for large pond installations and offers a high flow capacity with automatic cleaning and biological treatment in a single compact unit. It is suitable for natural ponds up to 140,000 litres, goldfish ponds up to 70,000 litres and swim ponds / koi ponds up to 35,000 litres.
