The Oase ProfiClear Premium Compact M Gravity Fed Pond Filter is an advanced automatic pond filtration system designed for large garden ponds, koi ponds and swim ponds. It combines mechanical drum filtration with biological moving bed filtration in a compact unit, helping to deliver clear water and stable water quality while reducing routine maintenance.

Pond water enters directly into the centre of the drum and passes through fine 80 micron sieve screens, which trap debris before the water moves into the biological stage. When the screens begin to block, an integrated water sensor automatically starts the cleaning cycle, rotating the drum and activating high-pressure water jets to clean the mesh. Waste is then flushed out to drain, helping the filter maintain efficient operation with minimal manual intervention.

This filter is designed as a gravity-fed unit, allowing most of the body of the filter to be buried below pond water level while still requiring the top of the tank to remain 105mm above the pond water level. It has a single 110mm inlet and 110mm outlet connection, making it suitable for larger pond installations where a gravity system is preferred.

The second stage of filtration uses a moving bed chamber containing 40 litres of Hel-X 13 media. Water is released into this chamber through a perforated retransfer tube, and the media is kept in constant motion by air supplied through the integrated aerator system. This oxygen-rich environment supports beneficial bacteria, helping to break down toxins and maintain healthy pond conditions.

For larger and higher-demand pond systems, the ProfiClear Premium Compact M offers a practical combination of automatic solids removal and efficient biological treatment in one unit. It is suitable for natural ponds up to 88,000 litres, goldfish ponds up to 44,000 litres, and koi / swim ponds up to 22,000 litres.
