Although they are made from very strong material, they are not as to plant up as I thought. They have press studs to form 4 planting 'holes' but it's a fine line between getting enough compost and the plant or not enough compost and still be able to close the studs. In fact, one of the socks I was unable to get two of the studs closed, so gave up on then. Also be aware that unless you have easy access to the pond and the ledge you want to put them on, they are not the easiest things to handle once planted. Especially if you are doing it by yourself!
Not suitable for ponds with steep sides..
Good idea, but would benefit from a slight modification to allow you to close the planter sock more easily without damaging the plants. Flexible design allows you to shape the sock to fit irregular planting shelves.
just what i wanted
perfect size, a bit of a struggle to plant it (serious novice me) but looks good
