The round or square Velda Floating Island Plant Baskets are made from durable fibre cloth which covers a Styrofoam floating ring which allows limitless options for pond planting. The Velda Floating Island Plant Baskets can float freely around a pond or it can be anchored in one location. The Velda Floating Island Plant Baskets are a great solution to planting in ponds normally too deep for traditional planting baskets.

The Velda Large Round Floating Island Plant Basket is 350mm Diameter and has a planting area of 200mm Diameter x 170mm. This would hold approximately 5.3 litres of soil

08-Sep-2015	Large Floating Planting Basket - 350mm Dia	These floating baskets are great for plants that would normally be grown on ledges within a pond. The fact that they float means larger fish can't dislodge the contents unlike traditional baskets, spilling gravel and earth into the pond. The baskets have buttons/loops to join several together, creating shade and a place for fish to hide. They also provide somewhere for frogs to climb out on. As I didn't want my grouped baskets floating too near the point where water falls back into the pond from my filtration system, I tethered one basket towards one side of my pond using a length of transparent fishing line to limit the area of pond in which the baskets can float.
